Understanding billing and seat counts

Draco Learning LMS charges $1.25 per active user, per month, with a 50-user minimum (so $62.50/month). Every active user beyond 50 simply adds $1.25. Pricing is published, predictable, and bills automatically via Stripe on the 1st of each month for the previous month's service.

What counts as a billable user

A billable user is one account with status='active' at any point during a billing month. Facility administrators, supervisors, and learners all count. Invited-but-never-logged-in users, disabled users, soft-deleted users, and idle users do not count.

Rule A · 180-day idle auto-pause

Any non-admin user who hasn't logged in for 180 days is automatically flipped to idle status. Idle seats stop billing. When the user signs back in, the account reactivates automatically.

Rule B · Peak-month billing

If a user is active for any part of a calendar month, the facility is billed for that seat for the entire month. This prevents the seat from being "rented" for a day and then deactivated. It also means you can run lean: if 5 users left mid-month, they continue counting that month — but next month's bill drops.
