Continuing Education Provider Information

Draco Learning provides online continuing education and in-service training for certified nurse assistants (CNAs) and health-facility care teams. This page publishes our provider information, course standards, and the policies that govern our courses.

California CNA continuing education

Our California CNA continuing-education courses (marked "California CNA CE") are approved by the

California Department of Public Health (CDPH) as online continuing education: CE Provider NAC# 7385, approved 10/01/2026, program expiration 10/01/2028. The NAC# prints on every certificate for these courses completed from approval on. Additional courses are submitted to the Department and approved before they are offered or advertised to California CNAs for CE.

An account for a California CNA shows only the California CNA CE courses. Other courses on the platform

are workplace in-services that a facility may assign; they issue a certificate of completion for training records and are not CDPH continuing education.

CDPH online limit: CNAs may apply a maximum of 24 of the required 48 CE hours online per two-year

certification period.

Course standards

Every course publishes learning objectives, a content outline, an online interactive delivery

method, and a post-test method of evaluation (25 questions; passing score 80%).

Course content is written to the CNA scope of practice and reviewed by a currently licensed clinical

instructor whose credentials are kept on file.

Online delivery, participation time, and credit

Each learner has a unique, secure login (user ID + password) that confirms participant identity.
Courses include an interactive portion - inline knowledge checks and a graded post-test that return

immediate feedback based on the learner's responses - and content cannot be skipped.

Participation time is recorded by an on-screen timer that counts while the lesson is on screen and the

learner is active, pauses (and says why) when the learner leaves the page or is inactive for 5 minutes, and saves to the server every 15 seconds. Post-test time also counts.

Each California CNA CE course awards One (1) Online Continuing Education Hour. One hour means 50 minutes

of participation (CCR Title 22 §71813); a passing post-test result is accepted only after at least 50 minutes of participation have been recorded. No fractional or partial credit is awarded.

Certificates & record retention

Each certificate of completion includes the program name, address, contact person and telephone; the

participant's name and CNA certificate number; the course name and completion date; the number of Online CE hours; the CDPH CE Provider number (NAC#) once issued; a unique certificate ID; and a public verification link. A signed completion affidavit is required before the certificate is issued.

Retention: completion records are retained for at least four (4) years. "This record/certificate must

be retained by the Certified Nurse Assistant for a period of four (4) years starting from the date of completion."

Audit access

A reviewer account and course-completion records are available to CDPH representatives on request, including a live login to review any course end to end.

Refunds, cancellation & complaints

Refunds/cancellation: contact us within 30 days of purchase if you have not completed a course and we will

issue a refund.

Complaints/grievances: reach us through our contact form; we acknowledge within 2

business days and respond with a resolution. Unresolved CE concerns may also be directed to the CDPH Professional Certification Branch.
